Rev Grant Bilbey

Rev Grant Bilbey is the minister of the Word of the Shoalhaven Central Uniting Church. Grant was ordained in 1992 and has been in placements with Congregations and placements in Georges River Presbytery and the Illawarra Presbytery. Grant comes to us with a wealth of experience in many ministry contexts.
Grant sees that the Church is a place of welcome for all people, where diversity is valued and the love and grace of God is seen in who we are. Amidst the struggles of life, for Grant, the good news of Jesus brings life through faith and in the way that lives of people can be transformed.
Having only just started with Shoalhaven Central, Grant is looking forward to ministering with the ministry team and congregation and supporting the congregation to make meaningful connections with the communities that the congregation serves.

Minister - Mission

Rev Karen Paull

Karen, a Minister of Deacon, brings her experience as a Community Chaplain to serve on the Ministry Team at Shoalhaven Uniting Church. She brings a deep love for people, community, and the everyday ways God shows up in our lives. Her approach to ministry is shaped by compassion, authenticity, and a desire to help others discover hope, belonging, and purpose.

Karen has a heart for creating spaces where people feel seen and valued. She believes strongly in the power of community and the importance of nurturing connections that strengthen faith and wellbeing. She is committed to walking alongside individuals and families through all seasons of life.

Karen appreciates the beauty of the Shoalhaven and the gift of serving in a church that is woven into the life of the region. She is passionate about encouraging others in their spiritual journey and helping the church continue to grow as a welcoming, inclusive, and Christ‑centred community.

Outside of ministry, Karen enjoys time with family, exploring the outdoors, and finding moments of quiet reflection. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing story of Shoalhaven Central Uniting Church and looks forward to what God continues to do in and through this community.
